PULLS & HANDLES Pulls
and handles are distinguished from knobs in that they attach with two
screws instead of one. When mounted on a cabinet the hardware is
referred to as a pull. When mounted on a drawer the hardware is usually
referred to as a handle. They are generally more elaborate than a knob and can offer a variety of enhancing looks. Sizes
are from "center to center" screw measurements. The most common sizes
are 3 inch and 96 mm. Other sizes are 2", 2.5", 4" and 64 mm. Pulls can
be combined with backplates to either hide holes or to simply to
achieve another look. Styles include the the D shape, cup or bin, ring,
bail or latch. The D shape is the most common cabinet pull and latch and cup styles are quite common syles for drawers.
