Cabinet Hardware Latches

Cabinet hardware latches may be classified as spring, magnetic and friction. They all of course  help to keep your cabinet door shut. Spring roller cabinet latches have one or two rollers positioned close to each other. The rollers are mounted on the cabinet frame along with a  latch that mounts to the door. The rollers engage on the latch and provide quiet closure. Magnetic cabinet latches have a magnetic piece that mounts on the cabinet frame and a metal plate that mounts on the door. These are very widely used. They can open and close with very little effort. Self adjusting options are available to make sure the magnet always makes good contact with the plate. Friction cabinet latches have male and female components that engage to keep the door closed by friction. The catch mounts on a doorframe, jamb or underside of a shelf while the strike mounts on the door so that upon closing, it is inserted into the catch.
